Old friends are the best kind of friend. When others desert you, they stay to the end. If you make a mistake in something you do They know how to forgive and stay friends with you. When you see an old friend after a very long time There is hugging and shouting and words that are kind. You'll speak of times past and how great it was But realize it's still great and old friends are the cause. Memories are brought to mind of times long ago. Questions are asked about so and so. Whatever happened to all of my hair? I woke up one morning and it wasn't there. Old friends are the first ones you started out knowing. Ones from first grade with their heart always showing. Old friends are made from diamonds, rubies and gold. They are more precious than the memories you hold. The best thing about old friends is seeing them again And learning what happened to other old friends. All is not laughter; there is also some tears For some of our old friends passed on through the years. Danny Sheldon |
