''A gift i give
to you, a token
of my heartfelt desire''.
Said the knight to
his lady of love.
''To you i too
give a gift of
my love so devoted''.
''Though you are above
me, i yearn for
your embrace, your marmoreal
skin pressed bare to
my warm beating heart.
The thrill of your
touch, like icewater upon
my back in a
glade of spring flowers.
Skyclad save for you
draped upon my love
sated body, dozing to
dreams of us laying
in amaranth flower fields
stretching to the horizon.
Scent swooned in the
clamy throes of love,
sweet, drowsy, heady perfume,
laying together listening to
the cool plashing of
the brooke, babbling neath
azure skies, populated with
skylarks, singing lullabys to
guide us to our
shared realm of bliss.''
(A valentine poem.)
