In Spite

In spite of grime, In spite of time
I light a florescence of cyme
Standing in the warmth of the sun
I’m wrapped in the feeling of one

I know it’s but a moment’s thought
A moment caught, a moment wrought
A dip into desires well
A drink of wine to help the spell

I’ve turned the mirror to the wall
And see no image of the all
I do not hear the ticking clock
I do not fear my mind in mock

Illusion has me by the heart
Each moment brings a fresh new start
A play within a fantasy
A boat to sail infinity

I still have me a wisdom tooth
Each moment can a separate truth

Sy, the surest way for me to start daydreaming is to play the powerball lottery when it gets over 100 million-Just think--

I could write all the time
Never do anything else
Immerse myself in unending rhyme
concentrate on my own self.

Hungry I might never be
I'd learn new ways myself to express
Famous is how they'd talk of me
If he really tried, he might be best

Too much money to be inspired
If I had to work,I'd probably be fired.

Good thing I don't have all that money.  Guess I'll keep on working for a living and writing for fun.  Danny

I still have me
a wisdom tooth too
but it never did much
for my brain power
so this year
I might get rid of it
