  Angel

A lost city that’s doomed
Drifted souls tagged damned
Darkness felt within reach
Creatures lurks behind each

Demon, vampire, mortal
One came from a portal
Not to just wander ‘round
But to make trap hell-bound

And he who hates day light
Has chosen to fight sprite
The vampire with a soul
Now known for a great role

Clashed even his own kind
Only to save mankind
Ironic it may seem
Nobody hears his scream

Yet his heart remained pure
Became the key and cure
Helped redeemed the city
That once was in fury

Jane, I really enjoyed this one, the darkness in it consistant throughout.  I also enjoyed your blog site, and the poems there - great work.

Even while we speak, envious time has passed: pluck the day, putting as little trust as possible in tomorrow!
