SYNTHESIS
6 September 1986

You impregnate my every atom
and like a germinating seed
you put down roots that grip
your foliage points me to the light
and we grow
as one
and I cannot
and will not
remember
what was
me
and
what was
you
and so I
unashamedly
take credit
for what
is
you.

A 20 year old poem
made new again
