.

You touched my flawed body
    so gently with your eyes
as later with the infinite gentleness
    of your mind
when the words stopped screaming
and turned to the slow rhythm
of our discovered music.

We traveled to where nothing could touch us
neither malice nor envy or word or eye
nothing concocted of gnarled minds
nothing remotely created could touch us then
we a little in fright of what we already knew
as the foolish brave unstoppable words poured from us
even in the great and utter silence of our hearts
telling us of the bright thing that had begun.

You touched my flawed life so gently with love
burning upward in the dark steady flame
burning me, burning me into healing.

~Dedicated~

You shape our minds with the word pictures you draw so skillfully and flawlessly.  What a great write.  And Happy Valentine's Day to you!  Hugs, Ken

Nancy, how poignantly beautiful this is to read!  I have only known you a short while through the keyboard, but I have to agree with Edward...I only see beautiful there, too!  I've heard people say that love is insanity, but there is nothing insane in its healing power, nes pas?

hugs,
~ Klassy ~
