perhaps it was just the rain gutter saliva of an after dawn sundown overflowing it's band aided belly or the haphazard obedience of the oaks shimmering their waxed waistlines behind the paper bag windows of a chevy something drew me back to the woods of you and the pickup truck dirt roads of our love song's laughter yes they contented me more often than the pedigrees in boredom do now when the serpentine of a gurkha satisfies what the highway doesn't give back to my loins in leather weatherproofing from the gypsy winds without agendas but I never did fear the follow boy or his sniffing of the headless ends of some other hounds pretty and his bagger's coat pocketed full of a china tributes in broken mirrors without the handles of understanding that being a book is really just being born ___________ daark |

Ed, I don't think anyone could have given a much better tribute to DS... he makes you think on pondering, and then wonder if we poets have this very life within our own words. Some do. Some want. We can only continue to try. DS? Thank you. A great read! |
