Why do you leave me, sweet gypsy girl?
Is it the battle lost
Or is it the war
Is it your restless heart
Or can you no longer look into eyes of coal
Can I no longer caress the essence of your free spirit
Or has love burnt out over dusks of trembling fate
Relinquish your love, sweet gypsy girl
For no longer can your traveling heart be your bread and blood
Still; daughter of Eve, hear my prayer
Do you no longer love me
Or is it roads unaware?
