To be Old, to be Old! The child in me is crying,
That Never never-land, all but gone upon a fleeting thought.
Down, down below, the shooting star is falling.
Embers burning bright! Soon the sea be scolding,
Rest thy head upon cloud pillows slowly she ascends;
the one whom borrowed fairy-tale kisses.
I will pass o’er memories of my fallen grace.
Long hath Pan been made a boy his mind no-more a child,
his shadowed strayed too many times; -
youth in it’s endless pursuit did follow
Seductive sweet in her voice in awe calling,
Come drink from thy imagination hath what thine wilt.
Tinker-bell did blush her powdered pixie dust
and dreamt of Peter’s kiss, from darkness to the dim sigh of dusk;
Farewell he heave’d to free his throat of words
And hallowed places, far below no words did flow but felt,
Where long he had stored the feast ere heartache faded.
Youth had bestowed the man, which fate longed to claim.

In vision’s of the ancient world,
Chained wounds some wore as armour;
Young Arthur adored the knights of old
once he’d slay’d the dragon made of straw!
His boyish dreams had fed him to the wizard
An hour in the turning, night before the day; -
The squirrel held the lovers touch
within his breast the rarest nut she long’d to taste,
She adore’d the strange laced squirrel afraid of heights;
’Tis Arthur learning punishment.
  He’d drank from untaste’d brews; -
And saw the stars within his head pounding
as the world turned old he still remained young,
All spells can be reversed but she wept that squirrel.

O! Wanderers into these worlds of books be few,
to be Young, to be Young! The adult in me is crying.
That Never never-land, now doth stay upon the thought,
Up, Up above, the shooting star is calling; -
Embers burning bright! Soon lead the homeward way
Rest thy head upon seductives lap slowly sleep ascends;
the one who borrowed fairy-tale kisses.
I will pass o’er memories and long to see them all again.

enjoyed this a lot, as I love stories about Arthur and the knights of the round table.
Excellent write, thank you

A fine piece of somewhat sombre, reflective writing. Touched me more than I care do admit.
But, never forget - never too old to dream!

Forever In Your Heart

MY PETER PAN, NEVER NEVER LAND
Moon shines bright,
glittering stars blanket the night,
You arrive in the moonlight,

Upon my open window,
you stand,
I gently step out to fly,
I grasp your hand,
Off we go to never never land,

Through puffy clouds we fly,
together you and I,
floating through the
magical, midnight sky,

With you i never grow old,
young at heart, i feel so bold,
youthful love, warm ,tender,
my heart is never cold, it surrenders,

The journeys you take me to,
magical places, full of
wonder and surprise,
I am lost in you,
seeing loves glow deep
in your blue eyes,

Excitement, joy, laughter,
forever inside your world,
of happily ever afters,

There is a kiss,
one I have been saving,
to plant upon your lips,
not to miss,
this...life changing moment,
that time keeps on playing,

I could remain here forever,
inside loves never never land,
my heart never growing old,
loving you forever,

My Peter Pan....

"Yes I will Come and fly away with you and leave my world behind"
