Fresh Air

Open door to fresh breath of air
It seems to me you are still here
The sun rises with rays so bright
A spider’s web made overnight
Glistens in the morning light

Roses shine with morning dew
The outside world reminds of you
The Baby Tears look just right
Snuggled by the long brick walk
Oh how I wish that we could talk.

Listen, hear the Cardinal’s call
See Blue Jays showing off their all
As they perch by edge of waters fall
The days beginning once again
And you are still with me my friend

The Blue Plumbago blooms with ease
The ants still march their ever tease
And Violets appear in clumps
And oh how I remember still
The day I stepped on that ant hill

You looked up and with a glance
Saw me jumping an odd dance
As much pain as I was in
I managed to sport a silly grin
As I watched you hold your laughter in.

you take me to a field of daisies, and whoops, a family of skunks, and the fences that needed to be hurriedly crossed!  I know it doesn't make much sense...  However, your poetry has special meaning to my lyrics.  Iliana is right; I am quite honored.  Your poem is quite beautiful, and it is very sweet of you to respond to mine.  You inspire!

It's a beautiful springlike day here today...83 degrees just now.  The plants are confused.  Loved your beautiful poem, but I'm allergic to ant bites!!  Ouch!

Thank you all for your nice remarks. I love to be out and I am always covered with ant bites that turn into small white pustules and itch like crazy.Tiny little fire ants.I never learn and still go out in sandals. LOL thanks again, martyjo

Cathy, no , you inspired. Your short meaningful write caused me to think of the outside and there is so much more that can be written,  but by others.I am not proficient or as interesting . Thanks,
martyjo
P.S. Here in Sunny Central FLorida it has been down to 39 degrees for two straight nighs and mornings. Going up to mid fifties later in the day. We are expecting a light freeze tonight. So plants have to be covered

LA,
I think YOU Are quite interesting!  Wish your weather was better...  But oh, don't those chills make us appreciate the warmth so much more!

Lots of stuff in the news today; as I was having difficulty finding a brighter picture, I scanned the poetry and found this.  When the world seems to go amuck, somewhere the flowers are blooming and the ants are are having a hayday.  Your poem has helped brighten a dismal day.   Thank you, late arrival.
