Where have you gone my navy seal?
You said you would come and see me
I never saw you in your white and blue
To say my final goodbye of three years coming
Where are you now to show face?
I’ve sent letters, but none came to replace
Is this a lost love that one always hears
Doesn’t it break you to know
That when you went, I shed a few tears
My redheaded love has gone away
For me not to see him but another day
Me so young, you so much to live for
I’ve opened just one more door
How can it not bother you
That with you I’ve shared so much
For you just to walk away without my touch?
Will I ever get to hold you just for one night
Then once again, away with the flight
I guess mother was completely right
Never fall in love with a navy man
They only burn out the light
