First off, I sometimes feel bad for people who have to read my poetry, because it is often very confusing. And this one is no different, but just read it through (first) and at the end there is a little glossary. I hope you guys like it.

East and West Side Story

Gifts falling from the sky,
“Give it here”, screamed the children.
They’re living in fear but it’s
Present time,
No past.
It’s present time.

Out of the vents
Came the men in their suits.
The G-Men hiding behind opaque aviator glasses
Took their dogs,
Their beagles with bugles,
Their bloodhounds from the plasma,
And ran through the streets
With their shirts upon their heads
Screaming “Hell only knows”!

HAMMER! Fall upon us please,
We went, now we want!
Thor, mighty mission man,
Drop your hammer!
Mighty masticator,
Chew our country into pulp fiction.
Deny us the truth,
Not wanting.

Funny house of mirrors,
Where Printers are going crazy
With the pamphlets printing
Double vision in the house of mirrors.
Props propping up the machines
Printing Mein Führer’s mail.
Mailman jazzing down the avenue
With the letter of gratification
That reads:
“Danke, push the button”.

Back at the Senate
There is no power,
Generators down
But they expect another purging soon.

Paper cut from the envelope delivered that day.
Red Letter Day,
Reads like it bleeds, flowing:

“My comrades, hear my ranting,
So that our Mother Land shall breathe again.
It is a fact that the bomb is here.
This is not the end but rather the conception
Of a nation reborn.
No faction or splinter group shall break our spirit.
For the Hammer is upon us, undeniable.
But I believe that we shall be delivered from
The devastation of war and once again
We shall float on.
We shall rise above our ashes.
Pray with me my comrades”.
