in the room of windows and mirrors
and the blind sighted dancers
when you were pale on marble
and I was beside yourself riding

you said the gallop was rude
and that the wind was chilled
but you were woman enough
to master my metals for a moment

if I would make the amazon leave
and feed your mind the sharp teeth
of another page written slowly
in white ink on dark imagination

our hands never touched fingers
but we knew the palms of each other
and the lines of our desire connected
before there were words in our mouths

like rummed demons and fine whiskey

Now write of the cusp
settling on midnight.

once upon a time in the land of midnight
there came a tiny cusp
with fuzzy feet and golden eyes
and he conquored the land of midnight
by drinking the ink from the sky
and his belly grew large and orange
til on the morrow he was the dawn

ok..now what?  hehe  thanks lady frind

Not only was I awed by your poem, I was awed by your poetic response to our beloved Sunshine.
