a whisper in the darkness

a whisper in the darkness
forcing me to leave.
telling me its over,
not enabling me to breathe.
the shadows enclose my body
capturing my air.
enhaling my soul
withouht a care.
a whisper in the darkness
enters in my skin.
draining all my insides
as it clones within.
i try to deny its power
try to force it to go away.
but my body's weak and tired
and the whisper wants to stay.
as it escapes my body,
my eyes close and i fall.
my body had no energy
to reach out and call
to you.

Sometimes I wonder if I should try again-other times..is it better to resign myself to what seems inevitable?
