Little smiling faces wake me each morning.
Little hands play with me.
Little kisses greet me when I've come home.
Little giggles fill my day.
Little feet run up and down the stairs,
Little whimpers beckon me after a fall.
Little voices say "I love you!"
Little shouts of "Mommy, Mommy, look at me!" I hear a thousand times a day, it seems.
Little faces and big bright eyes seek my approval.
I love these days...
They are fleeting all too quickly.

Again welcome and this truly touched me.  I am printing it out to take to my daughter-in-love today.  I am now a Gramma and FINALLY have time to enjoy all that you mentioned in this poem.  I regret having my priorities unbalanced in my lifetime as a Mother, but it's wonderful getting a second chance to show you can love and just how deeply as a Grandmother.  There is nothing like a child to bring that out.  Loved this!

I'm glad you all enjoyed it!  My kids are such a blessing and inspiration to me... I never thought it'd go this fast... they are all school aged this year.   I'm a teacher and just accepted my first full-time position for this coming school year.  I haven't taught (outside of my own three) for about 9 years... like I said... fleeting all too quickly!
