unexpected situations tangle themselves in savage lies to keep the peace
i kiss your raw scars
capture a handful of your modesty
the moon in his outstretched haze
misunderstands my intoxicated mumbles
so my rough grip falls again on your sweet confusion
breakfast fate and early yawns
are home reminders of impossible togetherness
your guitar is my favorite soundtrack on an island of innocence
where your flask dominated my nights
a predictable storm to disentangle the search
for heated noise and dirty nails
my mouth savors your forceps and waist
im lost to your flesh
memorizing the height of your arms
stuck in a tread of smoke
everywhere your broken shoe pretends to fall
inside my dreams stands a hut or tent
without gum on the ground and the absence
of your laugh
we swerve down a hill of rembrance
invading familiar puddles of wedding shells
replaced by hair flowers
you stole away from my dry eyes and i cant resist that old april thirst
wherever the leaves will blow
