Family Tree

‘What can be said?’
…I said …
slapping my forehead…
I’ve gathering all the words in the universe
poured them into a vat of beer
got dizzy as Dizzy Dean
waxed the floor with Mr. Clean
read my sundial for time and cheer
and even called you, humbly, ‘My dear?’…
WHAT?
“Stupid IS as Stupid does?”
I think that’s what she said.
Her words echoing through my head.
“You stupid old, ugly, mean man…”
I bit the backside of my right hand;
as I slowly walked through your sandbox of yellow sand.
Your cats, not mine, I thought…
“I like dogs, not cats…. “’Stupid Does?’”
Countless is the gold and precious stones bought…
Priceless is the depth of stupidity
Worthwhile is:
forever gone...

The bark of your family tree, barks! Dearie me, it does not appear that your worthiness is appreciated.

May only that which is worthy of your while come into your life, Dear JL!

Sending you a warm, comforting, and understanding hug,
EA

That was really, really good! I love the line about the vat of beer.

I also love how you sort of argue with yourself, and with everyone you imply in the poem's content.

Great work!

Here shines such sense of humor, and your native good heart JL.

The vision of the yellow sandbox..."your cats, not mine..." Epic!

Hugs,
TD

worthwhile is the hand that writes as you do, with much care, concern, humor, passion and a sea of words that forever ring out within the spiritual world, from you to us...

Have a wonderul day
