After watching his family on Oprah thought it appropriate to repost this.

Edward Bright Ebersol

You All had Him here to Enjoy
For a too brief, fourteen years
Now left with just the Memories
And the Pain of Loss and Tears.

But as you say, what Teddy said
So wisely ‘bout, "The finish line…."
You know He’ll win in that, "new race"
And that He’s surely doing just fine.

Susan, He was your Greatest Buddy
With Dick at work, Charlie at school
And words of His autobiography
A much Treasured Gift and Learning Tool.

You found out things about Him
That most the Family never knew
With an Understanding of this Life
That may be shared by far too few.

Sometimes this Life is cruel, unjust
And makes us ask the question, "Why?"
But sometimes Angels are needed sooner
And have to spread their Wings, and Fly.

I was truly moved today watching that show.  Where can you find a 14 year old boy that will bother to find a "language" to get in touch with his Dad, and he sure did with baseball!

I totally agreed with Susan St. James today, when she quoted, "We are not human beings trying to live spiritually, but instead spirits just living as humans."  How true!

What a lovely family they were, and this was a fine tribute to a wonderful young man.
