day and night i sat waiting for you, to tell me that things were the same. but alone in the dark i sat weeping, and showering myself with the blame. i thought back to the times we were happy, when noone could pull us apart. but alone in the dark i sat weeping, with nothing but a broken heart. i tried to close my eyes, thinking you'd be there when i opened them again. but still, alone in the dark i sat weeping, having only feelings of shame. so as i sit here alone in the shadows, i realise your not coming back. so alone, i sat in the dark weeping, i realise there's no turning back. |
