Paper Mache

The hands, slicking with paste, sandwich the wrap,
The words are torn from paper
They never are to be peaced right back,
Rather, transformed by the creator.

A mountain to cross or a tortoise shell,
A volcano, a wishing well,
Slippery words the potters paste
To sense, create, and gel.

Cathy...when I was a teacher of young children, my favorite thing was paper Mache!  It's like giving birth with your hands...almost like clay, but easier.  Loved your poem!

I love paper mache! This poem makes me want to start up an art project or go help with crafttime at daycamp again.

Miss reading you! Wish I could make it to the library more often and have more time here when I do. You take care of yourself.

Always, Alyssa

Hupomeno.
