It lies with you each night and greets each morn
It comforts you in your sorrow and wipes away your tears
How I wish it could be me

Happy or sad, it never refuses your embrace
He keeps all of your secrets and reveals not your fears
How I wish it could be me

You trust it completely without even a thought
For it cannot betray you and it knows no schemes
How I wish it could be me

I think I truly envy your pillow
Because it gets to share in all your dreams
And how I wish it could be me

I wrote of a pillow once...
not quite like this...
and yet?

The same.

Happy talk...good memories...

thank you for this, Melody.

so true wot you speak of friend poet
yes indeed.. loved it much i did
fanks you copiously he does for reminding
him of such a truth whose time has come
to be 'fluffed up and recognized'
