Seas of Tears
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

Cold rain falls down from somber skies,
The Light has turned to Dark.
“For all the tears Your children cry,
Dear God, build us an ark."

Your Hand did not block out the sun,
We have done so on our own.
By straying from the Lighted Path,
~ The Way that you have shown.

In spite of this, You love us still,
~ The flowers still blossom and bloom.
But Man’s closed eyes can only see,
A world of doom and gloom.

God’s booming voice rang ‘round the world,
“Your ways turned day to night.
Love each other, as I do you,
~Be you brown, black, yellow, or white.”

The sun came out and smiled on us,
And dried up seas of tears.
Mankind’s hearts did open up,
And Love replaced all fears.

“We are born of star dust,
And to the stars we shall one day return.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

Katerie ~

I woke up Sunday morning with a cold, January rain blowing in my open window. As I lie there, this poem started writing itself in my head. I grabbed my pen and paper and wrote down the words as they came pouring in. I do believe that the Divine guides our pen at times.

Love & Light,
EA

Linda, I could never even imagine writing about the Flood...you are so creative!  And, I believe what you've written here is a perfect synopsis of why and how to avoid it again.  Love you, my kindred spirit!   ....lily jo
