A Thing of Substance

One of the reasons
I like a kiss so much
is because its a
thing of substance.
For that brief moment
of time, I am hers
as she is mine.
Passions awaken
within our hearts
and desire flows
through a kiss,
and the joy found
in tender caresses
becomes ours to
hold and possess.

The fact that it's written like it's speaking directly to us, in the colloquial no less, is something that's working for it. Very cool.

Like a ship blown from it's mooringby a wind off the sea- I have been changed for good.
