SALT AND SAND
Summer 1986

To walk with you
along a windy beach
is to taste
not only tang of salty air
but also grit of sand between the teeth,
and because I love
what is truth
and reality
and because they
have black
and white
and grey
and are you
I adore
you.

It is wonderful to be able to capture such a rapturous moment as this, in the written word ~ and you have done this so poetically.
