Amongst a mass of vibrant green one flower there remains holding on as if to say better days will surely come for it has been a lonely time and long the heart entwined with love’s spirit of creation. There were others of a like mind before it came to be and others waving in a breeze the allure of perfumed wiles designed to preen and flatter the core of manly matter as if they really cared. But now there’s only one left alone to sing and chant the song of a true heart amidst the swing and sway of life’s underhanded fling into the all and nothing of immortality. Yellow is the perfect colour for a lone flower standing strong! It represents personal power, happiness, and intelligence! Helen, this is such a special poem. I love it! ~ and you ~ and that precious yellow flower!  Linda |
