I want you to know

it is deliverance not Deliverance

though you must deny me what we can't deny
there's no relinquishing the bond

I am not the half you see here aching you
don't think these things of me

I'm not a walking priapism
I'm a man

a man needs

this man needs you

To say that I look forward to more is certainly an understatement...

Be careful with that, huh?

and Welcome to Pip!

A card and a warm welcome! I have tried at least six sites before this one, and none greeted me this way. I don't write a lot of poetry but I think of myself as a poet. It's too early to say that now I'm a poet with a home, but it certainly looks that way right now.

Believe me!  You ARE a poet with a home!  I have been here some months, and I also (as does everyone!) felt welcome from the beginning, and more and more as time goes by!  You won't change your mind.  (Welcome from me too, by the way!)

I enjoyed your poem and your control of words.

Well Brother Stone...I have been dared to post this, and lordy knows I truly do love a dare.

See, I can't think that fast on my feet but our Mz. Serenity sure can!

Welcome to Pips, priapism and all!

tsk...

She took the chicken way out too.

(You are gonna grow feathers, Sharon. cluck cluck cluck...)

I loved this line:

"it is deliverance not Deliverance"

because I love the movie--

poor Ned Beatty....

I have many brothers here at Pip, but I am happy to welcome another.

Thanks for starting my day with a bang.

After looking around the site more I see you have adult forums. I don't want to have made a mistake with my first poem but now I wonder if I did. Some people are referring to it and one said be careful.

Please tell me if I shouldn't have put this poem here, so I can learn and do it better next time. I thought it would be all right since what I said isn't something common, but I don't want to start out being a public nuisance!

We are all having fun with you Brother Stone, and it would take a lot more than this to become a public nuisance   I am sure it will get moved to Adult eventually anyway as these Open forums have all ages reading them.

Welcome aboard, and this is a fun place!  Take your time, look at all the forums, and read the rules, and you will find yourself a great home for your poetry and I am sure a few new friends in the process.

Again, Welcome and thanks for taking the "ribbing" all in fun.

brother stone?

For the record, no offense was taken by me, of course.

I tend to reply with some good natured teasing, and I, for one, would hate it if I scared you off.

I enjoyed the poem, and the construction, the message and the allusions within.

I just enjoy having a little fun, and please trust it was not meant at your expense. We are a fun forum. (I think.)

If any of my comments are out of line, I would prefer to edit my comments than see your poem removed, if the comment is deemed to cast aspersions to your intent.

My welcome remains sincere.

I thought it was in fun but if you're new it's always best to be sure! I'll add this to the yes vote then. In other sites I tried, the regular people would pick on new ones. They did me anyway! Here you treat them like friends.

We are all a bit silly sometimes in here, and that is a good thing in today's world.

You sir, have come to the right place!     Enjoy all the great poetry here, and don't forget those archives have tons of great work, may I suggest you might enjoy reading Michael Anderson when you find time, (and if you can ever figure out the search function.)  I have been here ions and still get lost in all the hallways here.

Have a great day!

Since our dear serenity is being repeated around here, Brother Stone, allow me to emphasize the "fun" in her comment.  We ARE about fun...

and we are about responsibility, too.  If you ever question any of your posts and where best they might sit, feel free to contact a moderator.  We can help you decide where best to place your poetry, if such a question arises.

Welcome, Welcome to Passions!

We look forward to reading more of your work, and hoping you will take time to read ours, as well.
