Canada's Federal Election Day
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

Our freedom rings with knelling bells,
That echo across our lands.
Joined by hearts, and all by hands,
Each Canadian proudly stands.

With the Red and White flying high,
We elect who'll lead the way.
May God be with the choices made,
This Federal Election Day.

Canadian Flag

“The time has come for man to lay down
his arms, and pick up each other.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

Excellent Linda...should be an interesting evening
when the polls close and the returns come in.

I enjoyed reading about your Election Day.
I hope the right ones are chosen. It sure can be a
mess when the wrong candidates are voted in!!

(smiles) Yay, I'm soooooooo happy that you participate in the democratic process, dearest friend, it seems most often fewer and fewer seem to participate in the process in Canada and here in the U.S, and it's especially unsettling at times to see much apathy among the youth in that their desires and needs are too often ignored and not listened to! (sigh) If I was Canadian I'd probably vote for the New Democrat Party, yay, here's hoping your contribution to democracy was met with satisfying results, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I'm not from Canada, but I definitely enjoyed it (and am going in May! Yes!).  Nice job.  You always do a nice job with your syllables and rhyme.

Your patriotism is that of an Earth Angel, that's for sure!  Enjoyed this and hope the next years with the new leader will renew prosperity to your homeland, dear one.   ....jo

Noah ~

LOL I knew you'd appreciate seeing a "polical" poem from me! I am a great believer in the democratic process and using our right to vote.

The Liberals were voted out and the Conservatives were voted in with a minority government. ~Should prove be interesting! lol

Lovin' hugs,
