I Wait

I vacillate in states of flux
With words that fly like flying ducks
Racing towards a place that be
A place to rest in ennui

To paddle up a tide of force
And move nowhere upon my course
Oscillate in search a goal
To feed the engine of my soul

I turn to face the wind and fly
To pass beyond the needles eye
To look into the rainbows steel
To borrow some to fix my keel

But bubbles have a fragile skin
There pretty but there much too thin
They cannot stay impunity
And surely not infinity

So here I rest in ennui
Waiting for a flight to be

If that's where you are, Sy, then it would be a good place to be.   ....jo

Are you talking about retirement?  I hate to sound STUPID but this may be striking so close to home for me, that I can't differentiate between stress and the lack of stress.

Sy, of course, the same wish goes for you...but I don't think you are really there because you share so much with us.   ....jo
