Listening to every heart

Crossing Miles

~*~

Primary

she comes to me
two-dimensionally,
in visual delight, accenting
reds by yellows in golds,
a blue twinkle
of sparkling delight
blinking at me

hello

the gift of her is held lightly

this is me
this is where I live
this is me,
thinking of you,
my friend

she is kindred to a
heart’s beat
in primary colors ~
I know we would meld
in minds’ eye,
for I am her background

~*~

Secondary

The leaves still skip,
for there has been no rain
and the tease of snow
that did not fall
won’t chain back the melody
of a leaf in laughter…

the weather goes to the north
and the south of us,
leaving the legendary hole of our
native Indian area visibly saying
this is how it is…
as the saga of invisible holes
lives on…

we are bared and naked of leaves
and translucent of color…
all is beige day gray and
some of us are
too soon begging for an early spring…

winter solstice, just hours away

gave me last night’s moon
which left me
wanting

early early hours begged me
come, come, look…

fullest moon loomed o’erhead
casting cottonwood shadows of
come hither and
follow the sprite,

my eyes tracing the lines of
where would we go thoughts,

and the leaves rustled
in the legends of old…

~*~

Primary

Secondary is the background, then,
for primary color
as she would bring them,
eternal youth in smile,
brilliantine in touch,
sensual, perhaps, in twist of word
to make it stand
against the backdrop of
all that is,
all that was.

Sometimes I believe she feels
we were parted at birth,
because we sometimes touch each
other so…

through our poetry.

She is primary,
which is good, as I would
not understand,
otherwise,
for a flower girl needs to know
her colors.

Just as a background
of secondary,
all in neutral,
is needed,
to set them off.

~*~

A repost for our flower girl, just 'cause.

So lovely and wistful Karilea..
and this passage here,

"The leaves still skip,
for there has been no rain
and the tease of snow
that did not fall
won’t chain back the melody
of a leaf in laughter…"

My favourite.
Love this..and you.
Hugs~Nancy

I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

This is lovely, Kari
and she couldn't have enough posts to make up for her beauty on this plane.

Although this does more than justice.

gave me last night’s moon
which left me
wanting

This, ironically, touched me so only because for some odd reason
I could see all the constellations in the sky from the City which is so rare in winter.

Was quite odd.

This is a beautiful blending of two spitits.
