What of propriety?
When all the fences are made of razor wire,
when hearts that bleed are left to starve alone,
their heartbeat ignored
while the rulers of powerful domains
take no heed, only hostages

~collateral damage~

when they act as if
all one needs or wants is to be oiled
or poetically praised.

Oh, my God,
these dark days roll forward
into blacker nights too easily,
and all the lights are out
when we are refuse to scream
at what’s happening.

And after midnite, someone strikes,
not a match for light but a blow in the dark.

Oh, my God,
that poor child last week died,
bound, gagged and mutilated
hearing nothing about propriety
or the lack therof when the stories hit.
She was simply the late night news
and possibly, her epitaph was deleted
as she cried out in agony
to the non-listening entity
whose son she worshipped
just last month.
Not even poetic justice
was survived that day.

I'm so pissed for you my head still hurts.

But I've got a new method.

I have this massager and stick it right in the middle of my forehead and it even makes the om sound for me...
