A single memory remained
it twisted in and out-
the mind, like a voice calling, wakes suddenly
wide eyed - wondering! Its visions of thee,
And on that thought…a smile stays
touched into place, yet it was made by fingertips:
Brushed with the coldness of fantasy
the eyes longing to close to dream again…

Thou art dancing in the snow covered field,
Thee promised me, to the place,
And the snowflakes melted slowly, before
they hit our parted lips ready to kiss;
Watered passion were teardrops upon me
In the room which waits for my waking,
Seems my heart hath melted this dream
and thee stands alone in thy winter world!..

So frail these memories, sweet thoughts, thee,
As if by bitter chance – they might fail to be
The ghost of thy form leaves me wondering,
Concealing thee beneath the unbreakable soul.
O touch me, and keep my smile warm
compared to what is not the closed eyed world
I’d rather die in this dream of old!
And kiss upon old times spend and sold.

My goodness! The delicate, tender-heartedness of this graceful poem of love, has left me breathless!

An exceptionally fine write!
