Alright to take a stand
all right
for the more traditional
fine weather today
sun shines on resolve
acceptable winds
moderate currents
dissipate
inner struggles
to wisps of neglected thought.

I deal with what I know
it's fine to wander
into another's shadow
strong to leave
aware of pretence
as friendly chatter
turns to command
let others follow
they are needed to serve.

Alright to pawn favors
a perfect write
a deed for a return
friendships stand
falter
alright they go
as usage becomes intolerable
alright to take a stand
eradicate the weeds
of faulty welcomes

You paint a picture that a lot of us see

Networking is a choice between using and discarding or intimacy

I like the portrait

Thanks Sy for the error spotting, Maureen appreciate your reply
Dave, good words.. many an intimate moment has soured because of the need to advance out there in this world
