This was the result of the news stories that rang through the radio waves in 1993.I stopped listening to the news for a long time after this.

‘Tis the season for holiday cheer
‘Tis the time for a child’s fear
On the night when Santa should come
A child lies quiet, facing a gun

Jingle Bells should ring, Snow should fall
Another child cries as he’s thrown down the hall
A boy in tears lies tied in chains
As Santa flies by snapping his reigns

Christmas mourning for all who cry
The tears and the fears hidden in Christmas lights
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night
Another abused child dies in the night

Reminds me of Elvis' rendition of
The Ghetto

and now I'll have that tune in my head
all day.

Stark writing....

thank you.
