A Day

I start my day a mundane way
My footsteps of a hollow move
A pantomime of yesterday
Weights the time and marks the grove

It’s only when I seek my bed
And fly my castle in the sky
I join the living and undead
A place I live and cannot die

I am a knight in wonders world
And ruling over my domain
Imaginations flag unfurls
A mighty king like Charlemagne

I wave my scepter in the air
Rule my reign a Fables Eden
To fix illusion all I dare
Next to me my queen and maiden

It’s true I swore a marriage oath
And she’s my queen the queen of both

A pantomime of yesterday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the premise and intent of that single line...all it conjurs and encompasses is cooler than a mere moth has words for...
ya blow me mind with your wisdom rhymes.
yer so kewl
*ww*
If you feel heartbreak, distant thunder, lightning, earthquakes ...
If you wonder why the earth moves ... this is me missing you.
