Falling in love again

Its hard to fall in love again
when you have been hurt a lot
being with someone else now
is like being put on the spot

I have to know when I am ready
follow my heart where its aloud
making love spin all around
showing that I am proud

But how can I feel this
for I am feeling empty right now
I need some time to myself
till my heart only can allow

I cry myself to sleep
when I am feeling such pain
the feeling is so awful
I am starting to feel so vain

I know I have my friends
for they comfort me in a way
I am truly thankful
with them each and everyday

Now I sit here in this room
wondering what things are gonna be
I guess I will have to await
hoping things will work out for me

Poetry can get you very far

it does get better, and you know this, but you do need to give yourself that space that you know you need. Make sure you give yourself that space.
