does pain ever stop

before life loses luster

does rust ever sleep

rust?

It is just life in bleed.

I'll bet that Neil Young knows that now.

Kinda like the crust of eyes

from dreaming way too deep and how

it aches to wake from such a place

like the "bends" from surfacing

much too fast from too much sleep

rust is rough

remembering

the things we thought we'd lost.

I love that guy, even when he falls on his face.  I doubt he would be annoyed with what you wrote. He'd probably borrow a thought from you for a song or two.

icebox

Is this wrinkle a show
that would display all the minutes
where dreams were born?
for struggles twisted the shining
and rust seemed so small at first,
take care of rust
rub it out rub it out
sings the morning quietly,
such a small thing can grow
you know.

Rust IS sleep.

Ask any iron, and it will tell you; "Some day I will sleep again, in the earth from which the fire awakened me."

rust is blood

ink
on skin

lost poets
trill

safe within embrace of Aelinwen

barely amplified
from a 1959 Fender Deluxe

a whisper of fight
or flight

Old Black
and the voice of an angel
