Seeking sewage,
the effluence of the affluents.

Birds of a feather flock together,
and this is not offal after all.

For it seems that migrating birds
in winter's winged weariness,
convivially congregate alongside
sewage treatment waterways,
as the effluent...the discharge,
is often much cleaner
than the nearby natural bodies of water.

Somehow, this bit of good news
still ruffles my feathers.

lol, again, thanks to both readers
Steaven, ie..crows, ravens and other garbage-raiders are nature's sanitation engineers, and deserve our blessings?

that sewage effluent should be cleaner, more palatable to the birds than 'the real thing' is quite sad

Are we at the portal of "whatever it takes to help them survive the world as we have re-created it" ??? well, I love birds....so you know my thoughts.

Both Darwin and Audubon might be gagging at this scenario.
