I Vacillate

I vacillate when near extreme
When looking for the core of mean
Chasing rainbows with a tear
Living with the taste of fear

I falter right before the door
I fear the entrance to the core
I fear the feeling of let go
Of everything I have and know

To fall into unknowns abyss
To trade the sun for sheer darkness
To burn into a pile of ash
All that is and think is trash

I feel the sting of daily death
On each and every daily breath
Yet in the dreams of nightly fly
I wish the sun and only sigh

I hover like a bell in chime
The melody of father time

This is incredible. I'll have to read more of your work sometime- because I really enjoyed this. I liked-
"I feel the sting of daily death
On each and every daily breath
Yet in the dreams of nightly fly
I wish the sun and only sigh"

Thank you for this poem

Glad this popped back up as I missed it on the first go-round.  Sy, may you continue to "vascillate" for many, many years to come.   .....jo

Seymour, your thoughts take life in without waver, savor in moments and welcome more!  Such is life. I love your poetry because of this...your heart has eyes which lets your pen speak.       Thank you for sharing!

great poem.

I think all life is but a moment in between the swing and strike.
