Life as a coffee shop II

I go to Starbucks a lot lately
Mostly to reminisce and dream
Where I come from it’s where people go
Until something better comes their way

Many friends come and go
And still I am left drinking my coffee
Watching from the window
As people migrate across the street

The store is empty
Though the cars out side
And the decorations
Appease the eyes

So I drink my coffee
And I drink it strait
Sugar doesn’t make it sweeter
And cream makes me fat.
