Saluting with misty eyes

0 posted 2006-01-18 04:59 PM

Flow down, cold rivulet, to the sea,
As lay here, I
Alone in my thoughts
Awake in my revelry
Wondering to where your droplets go
Can I join you
Is your journey for you alone
Out to the sea you glide
Leaving me again
Here alone
Forever in my thoughts
Blackened in my heart
Forgiven in my sight
Wishing only for the freedom
You deny to all
As once again you
Flow down, cold rivulet, to the sea,

I got the intro (and final) line from the poem "A Farewell" by Alfred Lord Tennyson.

"...and as we drift along, I never fail to be astounded by the things we'll do for promises..."
Ronnie James Dio

Well done!

Again, make those lines your own, these are the best I have ever read from you, not kidding.
