The pitter patter
splatters in streams
sliding smoothly
to be embraced
by this very time
and place

being absorbed
in this fiord

at one with earth

rising in cycles,
reaching the skies
gathering in clouds
passing by

to come again,
another day
falling softly

sweet sounds of rain.

I love the lines of this song,
That only a Gentle Spirit could have composed-
With small and gentle hands..

"The pitter patter
splatters in streams
sliding smoothly
to be embraced
by this very time
and place"

ee was wrong..

"nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands"

But he did not read this poem.

"to come again,
another day
falling softly

sweet sounds of rain."

I think he would have liked it though, as much as I do...

Hugs YOU!!

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

The unseen beauty of rain, you've done an excellent job of portraying the very essence of even a single drop.

This is so lovely and peaceful, wish it here, please, as we have a blizzard.

Beautiful Donna.

Your words fall as softly as the rain and it must have been them that fell so gently on my forest last night.

Not only do I love the sound of rain, but also the smell of it...

so clean and somehow renewing...

Nice job with this Donna.

IT RAINED HERE TODAY.  MY GRANDCHILD ASKED ABOUT HOW RAIN IS MADE.
rising in cycles,
reaching the skies
gathering in clouds
passing by
I SHARED THIS PROCESS, THROUGH YOUR BRILLIANT STORYTELLING, WITH MY GRANDCHILD.  SHE LOVED THE EXPLAINATION! THANKS SO MUCH.
