Where the child can be free

The Garden

There's life deep in the garden
a garden of rot and decay
there's life within the garden
but it may or may not survive

There's hope amongst the hopeless
like a fire in the eyes
there's hope filling the hopeless
but it warmth just will not spread

for there's hate controlling the hateful
who's numbers seem to grow
there's hate destroying hateful
won't let the life to grow

the hate eclipses the hopeful
as disallusioned power falls
the hate will burn the peaceful
as the heavens shed their tears

Stark contrasts within this poem emphasize the point you're making well.  I have to keep hoping tho', and I believe in the end, all will be made right.

I like the way you wrote this poem. Yes, there are a lot of hateful people out there. But hope endures. Keep up the awesome poetry!!!

Poetry is beauty in words.
