Always

Thoughts are packed away
with the luggage that I bring.
Leaving down this road today
listening as birds sing.

They sing a song of sadness
because I leave never to return.
Yet I must confess
I’ve taken a better turn.

The winding road ahead
you say takes me further away,
but it takes me closer instead
to the dreams I’ve dreamt of everyday.

Your face will come with me
and my love will too
but no matter how happy I’ll be
I’ll always wait for you.

Hope can die in an instant
but forever dreams carry on.

your poem brings with it many emotions.  It's almost as if the poem itself were alive

wow. that was awesome. it full of emotions, and not cheezy in any way. that's hard to accomplish. Well Done!
