Ask me… “What is love to thee?”
And I’d say… “It’s the tears I leave behind
after the memories”
for I could never put love into words-
It’s like chasing butterflies
whilst dreaming of fireflies,
love can be thought of in many ways.

Well I just loved the brevity of it!  Great way to put it, and yes it is like chasing butterflys.

This sounds like a classic poem. Almost like you could have found that penned in the journal of a genius artist of old.

RedStone,
To me, this is as close to perfect as it could be.  I'm not a great poet/poetess by any means, but I like the complexity buried in the short message and vivid imagery.  It leaves room for my imagination.
