the tender gaze crossed the room like light
drops of sun ran down her cheeks as he touched her arm
rose of her hair flowered onto his back as they met
and they kissed

he awoke earlier than usual
and looked upon her sleepless form
for what seemed like an enternity he studied
when her eyes lifted and diamond like sparkled
blinding him

as she spoke it deafened him of all but her voice
and nothing around could distract from her beauty
it was flashes of heaven from the depths of his hell
she'd saved his damnation

I believe that no poem can be summarized in a few simple words but if it could be done then I think this poem could be summarized as "love in it's quintessential form"

That is an intriguing name that you have, my fellow Canadian! Of course, we in Canada are known for our green maple leaf! lol But where did the Dickie come from? lol

I'm just playing with you, Dickie! Welcome aboard! You are off to a great start with this poem!

You appear to be a man who appreciates the beauty of a woman! ~ and the one you have written of so sweetly appears to be good for you!

Be happy!

Warm, welcoming hug,
Earth Angel
