Juggling Bird Act

Ok, it having been said,
what did you see
Titled above, for to you, as an erstwhile
reason to read?  An act of fun?

or the deeply dark side of life?

It, the word [juggle] popped into this head,
given its own source
and here I sat, imagining clowns
under red hair and bright masks, smelling
popcorn under white lights within three rings…

so….

I gave the word to Thesaurus to see what I might
write of some fun…

and then {inwardly, possibly timely} I cried.

v.   fit in
syn:  manage
organize
cope with
run
deal with

                squeeze in
                        take on
                                incorporate [!]
      amalgamate
                   classify

and more!

Depressed, yes, this mind of mine
as jugglers are indeed corporate traders
and peace-mongers,
piecing together lives at some price
outside my/our realm

jugglers…indeed.

This, my own [dear, sweet] innocence,
[probably] held too long, too close,
its loss feels like death;

But, I do not doubt there are those
who will say,

“Welcome, Ostrich”…

I can hide no more.

Welcome to my world. Remember I am the bluesbird, and the bluesbird has seen too many things....

In the real of life, I watch from my dusty tree while Doc and Wyatt go striding into OK Corral.... All the Clantons seem happy to see them, and they are, because they know good ol' Ringo's hiding across the street. They smile while he shoots 'em in the back.

Dear Ed....

I know "it" is the world of many.  And I hope my poem does not come across as "trite" to anyone, but that they, the reader, simply understand my own acknowledgement that while I am NOT giving up...I do acquiesce that I must start a new regimen, and that is, to quit being blind-sided by those who are only out for themselves.

Nodding, of course, to the fact that I shall still smile at them all.

I've pretty much given up on trying to protect myself from
"being blind-sided by those who are only out for themselves"

It would seem that, lately, my ownly recognized
purpose is that of 'target practice'...

but, so be it...
at least I'm a moving target...

For what it's worth...
I enjoyed the write...

of power the world will know peace."

Thanks, Vicky...

speaking from a purely professional tone of poet...that is from where I write.  I believe it's time for me to find a new vocation...

but as I look around?

It's just another level of stress.  So, I'm up for some new stress, y'know?  New faces, and the like....

Thanks for your read, and for your understanding.

Sissie...you know me, so I'm pretty sure you know that I saw the word "bird".

Your own innocense is still in bloom, sissie, I hear it juggle across the sky with wings.  And then, I saw something else...instead of the word juggle, I saw the word giggle and I could hear you, yes I could, like a song-bird!

take a short break and dance
under yonder hawthorne tree
let the juggling sit a while
it'll surely be there
when you're ready
me? I'm taking a break of sorts
and am immersing myself
in a good book with
a pink cover
