though I've written so many sentences
spanning the entire length of the endless boardwalks
gracing the anthologies of rhyme
watching you
watching me
indulging in second guess
Still ...
no thought trickles far from Dribble Street
the well's still full
but the ink whisks round too fast
in fact ...
I'm trapped in centrifugal motion
I dip my quill
the ink flows freely to the paper
page after page
poem after poem
yet ...
there's nothing there
like always ...
the ink and effort return
framed ...
as Yak-a-Doodle

And yet, your style here is so different than what I recall, not that I recall your older work as lesser, but there is an added gentility of introspection here that I love very much.
