Listening to every heart

Nib Talk

Just the scratching of nib
against the grain of some off-white paper
uncharacteristically
left the following…

Sometimes I believe it pains her
to know that I, at this period,

[even and after long gone,]

have been cloaked so long
from and against the real,
that she refuses to allow any of hers
to visit me, whole.

I sense it, in her tone of mark,
mark twain,
and I imagine that in her day-dreams
she continues to look
for just the right shade

of rose-colored glasses.

Kari dear one just dropped in to read and simply had to respond to this beauty really excellent writing
I'm feeling a bit better today so I'm trying to catch up with my reading, I feel so bad about not being able to leave long loving messages but unfortunately the illness continues and I simply cannot. Hopefully those that love me will forgive me for not leaving long messages, and those that don't won't miss them.
Love and warm stuff
as always

I happen to own a favorite pair of, well, in your case, I can call them SUNglasses.

They are round.

They have red lenses.

And they make the whole world look different.

There.

You know my secret now.

I used to have a pair of rose colored glasses, but I turned them in because I found I didn't always like the view from inside of those glasses....seems they seemed to distort things just a bit to much for my liking...

Loved this MommaK.

Sissie

When I was younger, I refused to wear sunglasses...because I felt they took away from the real beauty around me...So, I squinted my way through life at that time...now I have to wear them because my eyes are so sensitive to light.
