A Rosetta Stone

Less skin, less flesh and just the bone
Can be today a Rosetta stone
A key to the doors of the past
A circle captured out the vast

We stand upon a mixed threshold
Where the new and the old enfold
Forever is brought to speak its mind
Under the lens of seek and find

It is often said to look both ways
The future and the former days
In seeking for the why and when
The yin and yang and even Zen

It comes to mind no matter the find
To see the core won’t change the rind
And going round the final bend
Will certainly not change the end

So cease my brother stay in peace
I feel this cloak a golden fleece

You always write us keepers, Sy...
some for the heart, some for the eye;
they always hold some golden fleece,
to bring to all some needed peace...

But more than that, they bring inspire,
and lift us high, out of the mire.

Dear Sy, this was as you are...awesome!

It is often said to look both ways

and yes, dear poet, we should always do as such...

Hugs and Happy Friday

My dear sonneteering friend, I absolutely adore what flowed from your pen this morning! (Mind you, I adore all your poetic offerings!)

This yin-yangy Zen of a poem is my cup of dewdrops!

Big, warm hug of appreciation ~ and admiration!

Got you pegged, don't they?  You are quite
a character and gentleman...quite a sage
and mentor to all of us..

It is strange our hindsight is not better, since our future depends on it.  Where there is a golden fleece there is usually a dragon, as well...   I'm intrigued with this poem Seymour.

This line spins my head sir. Righteous! Thank you for your "Rosetta Stone."
