Snow Moment
11 January 2006

I saw a movie tonight
and diagonal light
fell on falling snow
and I wanted
to fly.

Owl, I just had to click on your title! From your responses to my poems, I know that you long to experience the beauty of fresh-falling snow.

You expressed that desire very well through this lovely poem. I actually do feel lighter than air when snowflakes are gently falling down upon me! Up, up, and away!

Snowstorm

Snow bunny hugs,
Linda

Thank you Earth Angel.  It is so good to feel known and understood!  I loved your little picture.

Bunny-Owl hugs back to you too!

Snow has many affects on people i tend to find it cold and chilling and it tends to get on my nerves but each to their own

Thank you, Iliana.  I am very honoured by your response.

Thank you RedStone for responding.  I have only been in snow once when as a young teacher 3 friends and I were driving down to our home town for the weekend and we came across some snow over a small area.  We got out of the car (in flip flops - that's what I think you call them in America - we call them slops - and summer clothes) and had a snowball fight, just for the fun of it.  Other than that and seeing snow on the tips of the mountains, I have never seen snow.  However, as easy as this is to say, I am sure I would love many aspects of it, even if I did find it cold, chilling and irritating as well.

Beautiful read.
Haven't much snow here as the rain took it away but winter isn't over yet.
